....my reward is to get to go spend the evening with my mother. I will be happy to see the grandparents and Awesomely Cool Aunt and Cute Baby Cousin (who is almost 5 and should probably no longer be referred to as "Baby"). My mother has said that they are the only people that are going to be there aside from maybe some neighbor friends. I don't know if Stepfather will be there or not.
Stepmom is out of town and won't be back until late tonight. Thus the reason I'm not spending my birthday evening with them. They said they wanted to take me to dinner tomorrow.
I actually had a bad dream last night about being back in the house. But at least in the dream Gamer Guy was with me. That won't be the case tonight.
I'm looking at a picture that sits on my desk of my father and me from probably 20 years ago at least. I am just a beady head and tiny fist in a big blanket he has wrapped around me. We are sitting on the back of his jeep next to a doe that he had just hunted and killed with his bow. There is a part of me that wishes he had let the doe live. But I can't help but look more at the two of us.
