Oxford

I am still here. Promise. I feel like a very bad blogger as of late. I don't have much time for writing, and when I do, I never seem to have anything to say. Maybe I'll post some poetry soon.

In any case, I spent last Thursday, Friday, and part of Saturday in Oxford, Mississippi -- the home of the late, some say great William Faulkner. I can't say that I found this trip as enjoyable as the one to Chicago. But maybe I'm biased because it did rain for a large chunk of the time, and it was freezing cold, and American Lit Professor kept insisting on visiting things outdoors like cemeteries. Sigh.

I don't know how I feel about Faulkner as a writer. I don't like him very much right now because he makes my head spin with everything else I have to keep up with. Because of that, I believe I'm going to come out of this class a definite Hemingway fan. There is beauty in simplicity. That is what I've learned.

But now I have to finish a paper for Film Professor's class.
