I'm Going to San Francisco!

Well, I'm going to San Francisco in March. English Department Head wanted to put together a panel from a few of her students in the Shakespeare and film class -- one of which happened to be me.

She submitted it to the Popular Culture Association's conference, and the panel has been accepted! So in March I'll be traveling with a professor or two and a handful of fellow students to a state I've never been to before. I'm hoping this should be cool. And I get to read about Ian McKellen portraying the wonderfully ambiguous Richard III, so it should be good.

Film Professor is also trying to get a panel together from his American Studies class, so he might be going along for the ride too. This could be a fun trip.

But I've got a while. I'll have been to Berlin and back before that happens. Wow. What an awesome thought.

German Professor is coming back to the states for a brief visit and a conference next week. She's supposed to be bringing me a book to read so I can start playing around with the subject of my independent study. It'll be good to see her.
