I just realized late last night that basically all of the applications for the graduate schools I have looked at thus far are all due in January -- when I will be in Berlin.
God/Fate, if you or something that is supposed to be you is actually around, I appreciate a good sense of humor as much as the next soul. But this is getting ridiculous. Really. This isn't funny anymore.

- I am a graduate student in the German department at a private midwestern university where I struggle to keep myself afloat amongst the chaos, but enjoy it most of the time. I have a Bachelor's degree in English and German, and love movies like a nerd loves gadgets. I used to be a writer, but feel like a fraud to claim the title these days.
